A Little About Ms. Waldron
I am a proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's of Music Education, specializing in voice. My studies continued at Marygrove College, obtaining a Master's of Education in Reading.
As to continue to further my musicianship, I regularly take vocal lessons and perform around metro Detroit. I figured if I could wake up everyday singing, this was the career for me! When I have free time, I like to watch reality tv (makes me laugh), reading, socializing with my amazing friends, trying out great food at restaurants and traveling around the world. |
Music Classes and What Do We Learn?
Students will have a least 60 minutes of Vocal Music instruction. In addition, 5th Grade students will also have Instrumental Music instruction from separate AAPS music educators. Please see your student's homeroom teacher for Music class days and times.
Music classes will focus on many elements, for example: reading music notation, rhythm reading, movement, listening to genres of musical selections, instrument exploration, composition, audience etiquette, and music history. Cross-curricular instruction occurs naturally, exposing students to Math, ELA, Science, Visual Art, Social Studies and Physical Education. |
